Durin is the latest 5-star character in Genshin Impact, who was released during the Phase I banners of Luna III. He is a Pyro sub-DPS unit and, depending on his form, he can also be used as an on-field DPS. Furthermore, Durin is a versatile unit who can fit into many team compositions.
Although he is an excellent Pyro character at C0, some fans may wonder whether his constellations increase his DPS by a considerable margin. That said, this article ranks Durin’s constellations in Genshin Impact by their overall value.

Best Durin constellations to pull for in Genshin Impact
6) Constellation 5

Durin’s C5 is his worst constellation, as it only increases the level of his Elemental Skill. His Elemental Skill does not contribute to a majority of his DPS. Although his ER requirements would be fewer with this constellation, it is not advised to pull for his C5, since it provides little value to him.
Furthermore, it takes several pulls to obtain his C5. Considering its pull value and the buffs it provides, it is ranked last.

5) Constellation 3

His C3 increases the level of his Elemental Burst by three levels. Although a majority of Durin’s DPS is from his Elemental Burst, his Passive Talents contribute significantly to increasing his DPS in most team comps. Compared to some of his other constellations, the damage boost from his C3 is considerably less.
Furthermore, it takes a high number of pulls to get his C3. When compared to his C5, it provides a higher damage boost to Durin and is relatively easier to obtain, so it is ranked fifth.

4) Constellation 4

Durin’s C4 increases the damage of his Elemental Burst by 40%. Furthermore, there is a 30% chance of not consuming the Cycle of Enlightenment stacks generated by his C1. These stacks increase the Normal, Charged, Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst DMG of nearby party members, or increase his own Elemental Burst DMG, depending on his form.
Although the buffs provided by his C4 are good, they are dependent on RNG. If you don’t consume his special stacks, he can offer good buffs to the whole team. However, on the other hand, if the effect from his C4 is not activated, then he will provide fewer buffs to the team.
Overall, Durin’s C4 gives him a higher damage boost than his C3 and C5, but it takes higher pulls to obtain when compared to his C3. Considering all of these factors and the disadvantage of his C4, it is ranked fourth.

3) Constellation 6

After activating Durin’s C6, his Elemental Burst DMG ignores 30% of the opponents’ DEF. Furthermore, when attacks from his Dragon of White Flame and Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts hit enemies, the opponents’ DEF is decreased by 30%.
Meanwhile, the DMG from his Dragon of Dark Decay and Principle of Darkness: As the Stars Smolder will ignore an additional 40% of the opponents’ DEF. Overall, his C6 provides his valuable DEF reduction buffs that buff his damage by a considerable margin.
However, when compared to his C1 and C2, it takes a large number of pulls to obtain this constellation. Since his C6 requires more pulls to obtain, it is ranked third.

2) Constellation 1

Durin’s C1 unlocks special Cycle of Enlightenment stacks that could either buff his DPS or the team’s DPS by a considerable margin. This constellation significantly increases his support capabilities.
When Durin is in the Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts state, he grants 20 stacks to nearby party members that improve their Normal, Charged, Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst DMG. These stacks last for 20 seconds, and the DMG increase scales off Durin’s ATK stats.
On the other hand, if Durin is in the Principle of Darkness: As the Stars Smolder state, Durin will gain these stacks instead. When he deals Elemental Burst DMG, two stacks are consumed to increase this DMG by 150%.
Overall, his C1 provides good buffs to his personal DPS and the whole team. Furthermore, his C1 is relatively easier to obtain when compared to other constellations in this list, as it requires fewer pulls. Considering all these factors, his C1 is ranked second.

1) Constellation 2

Durin’s C2 increases his support capabilities and his versatility by a vast margin. After Durin uses his Elemental Burst and nearby party members trigger Overloaded, Burning, Melt, Vaporize, Pyro Swirl, Pyro Crystallize, or deal Pyro/Dendro DMG to an opponent affected by the Burning Reaction, all party members gain a 50% Pyro DMG increase and the corresponding Elemental DMG involved in the reaction for six seconds.
Durin at his C0 does not provide DMG buffs for the Hydro or Cryo Elemental Reactions. Instead, at his C0, in his Dragon of Dark Decay form, he increases his own Vaporize and Melt DMG. If you want to use him as a general support character for all reactions, then you can get his C2.
Durin’s C2 increases his DPS by a considerable margin and provides valuable buffs to the whole team. It also takes relatively few pulls to get his C2. Thus, considering these factors, his C2 can be considered his best constellation.
